Candidates for the Athletic Hall of Fame must meet one of the following criteria:

Information that is helpful for submitting a nomination:
While this information is helpful for our committee during the selection process, you do not need all of it at the time of submitting a nomination. Information that is required is bolded below.
Process:
- An alumnus of St. Francis or Marist Catholic High School who participated in an athletic program(s);
- A past coach, administrator, faculty, or staff member of St. Francis or Marist Catholic High School who was involved in an athletic program(s);
- Others who have made significant contributions to an athletic program(s) at St. Francis or Marist Catholic High School;
- An athletic team(s) at St. Francis or Marist Catholic High School that has achieved and performed at the highest level of competition.
Candidates for the Athletic Hall of Fame must also meet the following criteria:
- Individuals must have graduated at least ten (10) years prior to nomination;
- Coaches and contributors must have retired at least five (5) years prior to nomination;
- Teams must be at least ten (10) years removed from competition prior to nomination;
- All individual candidates must be persons of integrity and fine character.

- Name and graduation year (if applicable) of nominee;
- Sports played, coached, or contributed to by nominee;
- Detailed athletic accomplishments of nominee at Marist (all-league, all-state, records, championships, team awards, etc.);
- Detailed non-athletic accomplishments of nominee at Marist (NHS, Student Council, retreats, faith leadership, academics, etc.);
- Year of competition for team nomination and detailed accomplishments and distinguishing characteristics of the team;
- Any other relevant information pertaining to the nomination of an individual, coach, contributor, or team.
Process:
- A future date will be announced for final acceptance of nominees during an given induction cycle;
- The Athletic Hall of Fame Committee will verify the information provided on nominees;
- The Athletic Hall of Fame Committee will discuss and vote to determine the induction class;
- The next induction class and date of ceremony will be announced about 6 months prior to the event.
